This week we are celebrating National Farmers Market Week!
Both rural and urban communities benefit from the presence of a farmers market.
Farmers markets help small businesses, increase food access, encourage nutrition and healthy lifestyles, stimulate local economies, and support farmland preservation, conservation, and education.
The number of USDA-listed Farmers Markets has increased from 2,746 in 1998 to 8,501 in 2015!
Farmers market customers not only benefit themselves, but their whole community when they shop local!
Visit us on Tuesdays from 4-7 and Saturdays from 9-1 to see what a Farmers Market is all about.
